The AVR heads for Evans City to interchange with the B&P as it crosses over the Allegheny River on a beautiful spring evening.

AVR-1 returns from the NS yard at Island Avenue past the B&O signals at East Schenley. Unfortunately these signals are being readied for replacement as new foundations have been poured.

A trio of AVR SD40-3s pick up 48 cars from the W&LE interchange at Bruceton. The leader is a former KCS SD40-3, originally a Seaboard Coast Line SD45.

A short AVR train heads back to Glenwood. A longer AVR freight came through about five minutes later - never thought I'd see back to back trains on the W&P!

One of the many joggers on the Montour Trail is unphased by AVR's three gray and yellow behemoths trundling across one of the many trestles dotting the Wheeling's former P&WV 'Hi-Line'.

The AVR's three former SD45 rebuilds lead an eastbound hopper train over the massive former P&WV viaduct at Speers, PA. The train is bound for a load out on the Southwest Pennsylvania.
